Massage techniques and positioning are tailored through the stages of your pregnancy to help ensure comfort, safety, relaxation and the well-being of you and your baby. Helps to strengthen the immune system to help prepare the body physically, mentally and emotionally for the birth.
A pregnancy massage is a little different to a regular massage, mainly in terms of positioning and using gentler strokes. A prenatal massage will also avoid any oils that aren’t recommended during pregnancy. Positioning is either lying on your side on a treatment couch and being cushioned with pillows under your head, between your legs or under your tummy. Alternatively, if you require your bump or face to be massaged you will gently turn over onto your back where you will be positioned in a semi-reclining position (only for a limited time due to the weight of the baby) on the couch, supported with cushions.
There is no set routine as the massage is changed and adapted to fit the specific requirements on the day of your massage, catering for what you want and need when you come to see me. A regular massage throughout your pregnancy supports your overall health and the well-being of you and your baby. A Pregnancy Massage can help to relieve minor ailments associated with pregnancy.
Treatment should be booked from your first trimester.
I only use Cruelty Free, Paraben Free, Vegan Friendly, 100% natural carrier and pure essential aromatherapy oils within my massage treatments.
